Second YIPs Africa Day
The 2nd YIPs Africa Day, brought together leading professionals, thought leaders, and young insurance professionals from across Africa to discuss the pivotal role of parametric insurance in supporting food security in Africa. The event was an engaging platform for exploring how innovative insurance solutions can protect the agricultural sector from climate-related risks and enhance food security across the continent.
Third YIPs Africa Day
Creating a network of young insurance professionals for the purpose of exchanging Information and ideas. Providing platforms for continuous career growth, professional development and learning for young insurance professionals through conferences, seminar etc.
Africa Climate Week
YIPs Africa successfully hosted a side event at Africa Climate Week 2023 in collaboration with the African Union (AU), the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and the Government of Kenya. The session, brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and young professionals to discuss the critical role of insurance in climate resilience and sustainable development.
International Certification on Inclusive Insurance
We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of the Bilingual International Certification on Inclusive Insurance, a collaborative project between the African Continental Insurance and Sustainability Platform (ACISP), the International Labour Organization (ILO), and YIPs Africa. The event, which took place on October 26, 2023, in Accra, Ghana, marked a significant milestone in the advancement of inclusive insurance across Africa.
International Labour Day Webinar on Inclusive Insurance in Africa
On April 30, 2024, YIPs Africa, in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO), IFAGE, and the Microinsurance Network, hosted a high-impact webinar.The event, held via Zoom at 12 PM GMT, brought together industry leaders, experts, and young professionals to discuss the critical role young insurance professionals play in expanding inclusive insurance solutions across Africa.
International Women’s Day Webinar
In commemoration of International Women’s Day 2022, the African Association of Young Insurance Professionals (YIPs Africa) hosted a thought-provoking webinar under the theme “The Role of Young Insurance Women as Catalysts for Insurance Penetration in Africa.” The session brought together esteemed professionals to discuss how young female leaders in the insurance industry can drive innovation, inclusion, and growth within Africa’s insurance landscape.
Fourth YIPs Africa Day
The 4th YIPs Africa Day, hosted by the African Association of Young Insurance Professionals (YIPs Africa), will take place on the sidelines of the 51st African Insurance Organisation (AIO) Conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
